Willie Meeds,
Jr.
Dec 21, 1969 — Feb 26, 2026
Willie Meeds, Jr. was born on December 21, 1969, to Nancy Moore and Willie Meeds, Sr. At an early age, his mother married David Leeks, who lovingly raised Willie and his siblings as his own. David Leeks was a strong and positive role model who instilled in Willie the values, discipline, and integrity that shaped him into the man we all knew and loved.
Willie accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Elder F.T. Pratt, Sr., Elder David Leeks, and Superintendent Bruce Rollerson. His faith remained a guiding force throughout his life.
Willie graduated from Paris High School in 1988. Shortly thereafter, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country with honor and dedication. His time in the military strengthened his character and deepened his sense of responsibility, leadership, and commitment to family.
In 2012, Willie met the love of his life, Gwendolyn Jones. Their love blossomed, and they were united in holy matrimony on August 13, 2016. Together, they shared fourteen wonderful years filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories.
Willie was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. He loved deeply and expressed that love through his actions—whether offering wisdom, sharing laughter, or simply being present when it mattered most. His grandchildren were a special source of pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Willie was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Moore, his father, David Leeks, grandmother, Ola Mae Moore, and father-in-law Albert Jones.
Willie leaves to cherish his precious memories and continue his legacy his devoted and beloved wife, Gwendolyn Meeds; his loving sons, TyMondre Robinson, Jeremy Jones, and Domonique (Keisha) Jones of Little Rock, Arkansas; and his devoted daughter, Ebony (LaGarius) Hopkins of Shreveport, Louisiana.
He is also survived by his father, Willie Meeks, Sr.; his cherished siblings, Jewel (Dontrail) Williams, Roy Meeds, Barbara Leeks, Mary Leeks, Clifton Marquis Dunkins, Andre Dunkins, Koacher Wilson, Michael Don Hayes, and Tyiesha Patterson; and his ten grandchildren; two special friends who faithfully stood by him throughout his journey, Dontrail Williams and Longwolf; in addition, he leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, his mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
