Mr. Wilbert (Pete) Vaughn Jr. was born September 23, 1964 in Dallas, Texas to the parents of Wilbert Vaughn Sr. and Betty Bedford Vaughn. In his early life he excepted Christ at Allen Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.R. Allen. Later in his life he joined at Chapel Crest Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Rickey L. Scott. Wilbert was a great son, brother, cousin, nephew and uncle. He had a caring heart and a positive attitude toward all.

Wilbert graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1983. He also attended the Dallas Black Dance Theatre. Wilbert also worked for allied Construction Company.

He leaves to mourn four brothers: Jimmy L. Vaughn of Dallas, Stevie Vaughn, Bryan Vaughn, and Chris Vaughn all of Greenville; two sisters: Veronica Vaughn of Dallas and Bettina Vaughn of Greenville, TX; three uncles: Phillip Bedford, Benny Bedford Sr., and Henry L. Bedford all of Dallas, TX; two aunts: Mary Hawthrone and Delores Bedford Dixon both of Dallas, TX;  one niece: Jennifer Vaughn and one nephew Michael D. Vaughn both of Dallas, TX and a host of great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
