Wendell
Alexander
Aug 31, 1978 — May 22, 2026
Wendell Vaughn Alexander was born on August 31, 1978, in Dallas to Rufus and Obrae Alexander. He was raised in East Dallas, where he attended Mount Auburn, J.L. Long, and later graduated with the Class of 1996 from Woodrow Wilson High School. During his childhood and school years, Wendell formed lifelong friendships with Shannon Cooper, Markist Franklin, and Mytron Brown, all of whom shared many memories with him and proudly graduated alongside him from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1996.
He accepted the Lord as his Savior at the age of 12. He began his ministry and service to the Lord with Goodwill Baptist Church by faithfully serving on the usher board. His dedication to God and his church continued throughout his life, and in his adult years, he was ordained as a deacon. Wendell’s strong faith, servant’s heart, and commitment to uplifting others were evident in the way he lived and worshipped each day.
Wendell was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his career. He began working with Greyhound Lines before continuing his professional journey with Comcast and later the United States Postal Service. While working at DHL, Wendell discovered his passion for truck driving, which led him to continue his career with ACT Trucking Company. His strong determination and love for the road eventually led him to his final place of employment with FedEx, where he continued to do the work he truly enjoyed.
Wendell was previously united in marriage to Tamesha Moore Alexander, and from this union they were blessed with a beloved daughter, Obreanna.
Above all, Wendell was a devoted and loving father to Zacori Alexander and Obreanna Alexander. His children were the center of his world, and he poured endless love, support, wisdom, and guidance into their lives. Wendell believed in leading by example, always encouraging them to work hard, stay grounded in faith, and never give up on their dreams. Whether offering advice, words of encouragement, or simply being there when they needed him most, he made sure his children always knew they were deeply loved and supported. The bond he shared with Zacori and Obreanna was one filled with pride, protection, laughter, and unconditional love that will forever remain in their hearts.
Around the end of 2019, Wendell met Cynchasha Washington who would later become the love of his life. What began as a friendship and companionship blossomed into a beautiful relationship when they officially began dating on February 2, 2024. On August 20, 2025, they made a promise of forever love, celebrating their union with a convivial trip to Las Vegas. Their love story continued as they were joined in holy matrimony on December 14, 2025. Together, they shared a bond filled with love, faith, companionship, and devotion.
Wendell truly lived life to the fullest and believed every moment was meant to be enjoyed with the people he loved most. He cherished spending quality time with his family and creating unforgettable memories through laughter, celebrations, and vacations. Whether traveling to new places or simply enjoying time together, Wendell made every experience special. He loved excitement and adventure, especially thrilling rides and fun times at amusement parks. Known for his joyful spirit and infectious energy, Wendell was undeniably the life of the party. His presence could light up any room, and his laughter, humor, and love for having a good time brought happiness to everyone around him. His vibrant personality and the memories he created will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
