Vickie
Stephens-Calloway
Feb 10, 1962 — Aug 12, 2022
Winter was the season; on the 10th day of February 1962, a beautiful baby girl was born in Greenville, TX to the parentage of Vernell and Betty Stephens. She was the third child out of a total of five children. Vickie accepted Christ at and early age at Chapel Hill Baptist Church. Later in life she became a member of New Hope Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Reginald Jefferson.
She attended Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, TX. After graduation she enrolled in Eastfield College, where she took business courses to enhance her performance on her job. Vickie always instilled in her daughter and grandson to get an education, so that they may be successful in life.
Vickie was caring and compassionate and she loved all her family. She was blessed with one beautiful and amazing daughter, Shayla, whom she loved unconditionally. Her legacy continued when her daughter gave birth to one extraordinary and talented young man, Joshua, who has a love for music, cars and technology.
Vickie Stephens married George Calloway, in Holy Matrimony. Together they became one, a couple united in love. Together they lived out their wedding vows for better or worse, for richer or poorer, through sickness and health, until God called her home and she breathed her last breath on August 12, 2022.
Her "True-Loveism" will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, (2) brothers, (1) sister and (1) nephew.
Vickie leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband George Calloway; mother Betty Stephens; daughter Shayla Stephens; grandson Joshua Stephens; (6) sisters; (5) brothers; (7) aunts; (4) uncles; (4) nieces; (5) nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
