Verna Louise Buchanan was born on January 11, 1950 to Rev. and Mrs. Walter T. Wilkins in Greenville, TX. She was one of 13 children. She attended Cooper High School.

She met and married Don Buchanan.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, 1 sister, 2 brothers & 2 nieces.

Verna leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Sandra Sherman; (2) sons: George Brown and Sedrick Buchanan; (3) sisters: Vennie Telford, Corrine Sampson and Angela Wilkins; (6) brothers: Artie Wilkins, Lewis Wilkins, Thomas Wilkins, Weldon Wilkins, Perry Wilkins and Washington Wilkins; a host of grandchildren, (1) great grandchild and a host of other relatives & friends.
