Obituary

Tammy Renee Paul was born on August 6, 1960, to the esteemed parents of Earl C. Paul and Emma McCrainey. She embraced Christianity at a young age. After graduating from South Oak Cliff High School, she embarked on a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Tammy possessed an exceptional talent for cooking, demonstrating remarkable proficiency in the culinary arts. She was renowned for her delectable culinary creations, which she delighted in preparing for her family and friends. Through self-directed learning and her extensive cookbook collection, Tammy meticulously ensured the use of fresh ingredients from various stores and local farmer's markets. Whether it was a nutritious lunch for her grandchildren, a family dinner, a picnic at the park, cookies or cakes for a school fundraiser, a dinner party with friends, or a holiday feast, Tammy consistently delivered delectable and well-prepared meals. Her culinary   creations were not only delectable but also visually appealing, with beautiful meal presentations and elegant table settings. It was always a pleasure to dine at Tammy Paul's table.

Beyond her culinary prowess, Tammy's family held the utmost importance to her. In 1977, Tammy welcomed her only child, Correy D. Paul. He was her only natural-born child, but she cherished her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Tammy was unwavering in her commitment to her family. If she was with you and loved you, that was the essence of her relationship with you. She subsequently married Richard Lee, with whom she established a lifelong partnership built on love, support, and trust. Together, they are the proud grandparents of Korriean Paul, Asjah Paul, Seth Paul, and Collin Paul. They also have a great-grandson, Leshaun Williams. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Tammy was determined to make her grandchildren happy, even if it meant playing with them herself to prevent boredom and loneliness.

She was adventurous and competitive, as evidenced by her spirited games of spades and dominoes. She was not an easy opponent, not only winning but also dancing her way all over the room. Regardless of the occasion, food, family, or fun, Tammy brought it all together with her unique style. Tammy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Tammy leaves behind her devoted husband Richard Lee; one son Correy Paul (Shelia); four grandchildren: Korriean Paul, Asjah Paul, Seth Paul, and Collin Paul; one great grandson Leshaun Williams; five brothers: Ronald Roberts Sr., Curtis Clay, Paul Taylor, Timothy Pearson Jr., and Steven Pearson; four sisters: Robin Paul-Smith, Terri Clay, Ester Taylor, and Emma Brent along with a network of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends who hold her in high regard. Tammy's absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew her.
