Stephen Monte "Steph" Bennett was born November 20, 1952 to the parentage of James P. Bennett and Lola M. Bennett-Fitzgerald in Louisville, KY.

"Steph" received a masters in social Work at the University of Louisville. He loved  reading and   always promoted higher education. With his      wisdom he would always encourage the younger generation. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife Monica. He was a comedian at heart and would crack a joke to make others laugh all the time. He loved watching sports and cooking cornbread with his wife. He always praised God and loved helping others.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Stephen leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of 17 years Monica Bennett; stepchildren: Eric Butler and Erica Butler; (11) grandchildren; (2) great grandchildren; (3) siblings: James Bennett, Clinton (Andrea) Bennett and    Sarita (Curtis) Fields and a host of other relatives and friends.
