Shirley Ruth Chambers was born on October 31, 1944, in Kaufamn, Texas to the union od Albert Chambers and Olivia Morgan. She  graduated from Booker T. Washing High School. She had four children; Tersa, Charles, Sherelene & Bridgette; by Roosevelt Sewell whom preceded her in death. She married Jessie Fields Jr. and he adopted her four children. Then she married Lewis Session on April 13, 1971 in Dallas, Texas and they were married for 51 years until death.

She joined Mount Zion Church of God in Christ as a member over 45 years. Sister Session served as an Usher, choir member, and Sunday school teacher and where ever they needed her to serve in the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Olivia Chambers, her husband Lewis Session, daughters: Bridgette & Teresa, sisters: her twin Katie, Dorothy, Bedell, Betsy, Margie, Frances, Candasia, Louise, brothers: Lewis, Otha, Horace, Edward and Albert.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Sherelenne Fields and son Charles Fields; two step daughter: Pam and Marian; one step son Datanya along with a host of grandchildren great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
