Shirley Carol Lofton was born in Ft. Worth, TX on December 12, 1947, to the late Charles Stanley Lee and Laurina Elizabeth Lee.  She entered into rest on August 3, 2022.  She grew up in Ft. Worth, TX where she attended Our Mother of Mercy private elementary & IM Terrel High School.  She also attended Texas Southern University in Houston, TX.

While living in Houston, TX, she met and married Lee Williams in 1969 and to their union 1 child was born, Tara.  Later in life, she was introduced to Jesse Lofton by her sister, Olivia Brown.  They married in 1975 and to their union 1 child was born, Rhonda.  To their marriage, Jesse brought 4 children: Cheryl, Walter, Gail, and the late Jesse Jr.

Shirley accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age.  She was member of the New Bethany Baptist Church under the direction of Stacy L. Price and current Senior Pastor Anthony Flentroy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Laurina Lee; husband, Jesse Lofton; sister, Jean Carter and her brothers Michael Ingram and Don Ingram.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memories  her daughters: Tara Fort (Ronnie), Rhonda Lofton-Jones (Herman), bonus daughters Gail Lofton and Cheryl Taylor (Tony);  grandchildren: Benjamin Young, Jr., Devin Young, Lauren Young, Rehgan Jones, Hannah Jones, Jessica Jones, Crystal Lofton, Artela Lofton, Erica Brown, Guy Washington and Michael Brown, Jr., along with 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
