Shawanna Mackey was born on July 11, 1980 in Dallas, Texas to the union of Patricia Mackey and Clifford Hamilton. She graduated Seagoville High School and received her Medical Assistant Certificate from Remington College.

She was preceded in death along side her father Clifford Hamilton, grandparents: Mosie Lee Mackey, Joseph & Lorene Hamilton.

She later married Charles Alexander.

The Love for her will be cherished by her son Ke'oderick Johnson; (2) daughters: Shaterria Crowe and Shaterica Crowe; her loving mother Patricia Besant (John); (3) brothers: Demond Mackey, Alton Howard and Broderick Hamilton; (1) sister Jacara Hamilton; grandmother Candace Mackey; (1) niece Kylar Mackey; (2) nephews: D.J. Mackey and King Hamilton; special cousin Sir Erok Ridge along with a host of aunts, uncle, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
