Obituary

Sharon Denise Goins was born on October 28, 1954 to L.W. Goins and Ernestine Goins in Dallas, Texas. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend and a faithful servant of God. Sharon departed this life on September 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness.

She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who took pride in everything she did. She spent many years working in the food service industry, where she was known for her strong work ethic, warm smile, and the care she showed to everyone she served. She was a team player, dependable, and always willing to go the extra mile. Sharon’s professionalism, kindness, and positive attitude left a lasting impression on her coworkers and everyone she worked with.

Sharon had a true gift in the kitchen. She loved cooking and found so much joy in preparing meals for her family and friends. Her dishes were always made with love, and her kitchen was often filled with the aroma of her famous home-cooked meals. She believed that food brought people together, and nothing made her happier than seeing others enjoy what she cooked. Her recipes, love, and warm spirit will always be a part of her legacy. Good food, good company, that was Sharon’s kind of day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her paternal and maternal grandparents, (3) brothers: James, Rodney, and Thomas Goins, and her beloved husband of over 40 years, Billy Delley.

Sharon leaves to mourn her passing (2) children: Derick Goins Sr. and Chrisma Delley; (3) grandchildren: Derick Goins Jr., Tariyah Ponds, and Paisley Delley; her brother Kenneth Goins along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members, friends, loved ones, and all who were blessed to know and love her.
