Rodrick Lee Jackson was born August 30, 1974 in Dallas, Texas to the parents of Lois N. and Robert Lee Jackson. He was the third oldest of 5 boys. He liked going fishing and playing dominoes and cards.

Rodrick is preceded in death by his father Robert Lee Jackson, his grandmothers: Sarah McCarver and Ernestine Medlock, his grandfathers: Leonard McCarver and Charlie Medlock, his brothers: Andie, Shenard and baby boy Jackson, his aunts: Ruby Nero, Stella Lewis and Mary Masters, his uncles: Joe McCarver, Leonard McCarver, Jr., Alfred McCarver, Lee Jackson Jr. and James Jackson, his nephews: E'siah Johnson, Roger "Boogie" McNeal Jr., and Shenard Jackson Jr.

Rodrick leaves to cherish his mother Lois N. Jackson; his wife Luria Jackson; his only child Chantavia Johnson; four step-children: Renardo Street, Tone Hollis, Daidran and  Malcolm Thronton; three sisters: Janae Smith, Tina Fisher and Anyei Jackson Reeves; one brother: Robert Lee Jackson, Jr. two uncles: Roy McCarver and Chester McCarver along with a host of other relatives and friends.
