Peggy Sue Hunter was born on October 29, 1947 to the union of Classie Smiley and Mr. Willis. She was one of two children having a brother, Cleveland Fisher, whom all preceded her in death. Peggy received her formal education in Aspermont Independent School District.

She meet and married Mr. Ocie Hunter Jr. and to this union 6 children were born.

Peggy worked as a nurse for 35 years and in her leisure time she loved cooking, fishing and watching her soap operas. She also loved spending plenty of time with her family. Whatever her family did she wanted to do, like riding motorcycles, bowling, exercising, camping, playing pool, just to name a few. She was an all around outgoing person.

Also preceding her in death her son Curtis.

Peggy leaves to cherish her memories her children: Bonnie (Becky), Betty (Larry), Barbara, Ocie III and Zackary  Sr. (Juanita); (20) grandchildren: Marquett, Marquan, Ebony, Porsha, Daniel, Patrick, Myesha, Eric, Curtis, Tony, Brittonya, Lonzell, Mark (Brenda), Dawn Mckenzie, Jordyn (Cade), Bianca, Shannon, Zackary Jr., Stacey and Aniyah; Daughter-in-law Cassandra; (21) great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
