Pearlie Jane Willis was born on March 28, 1938 in Freestone County, Texas to the parentage of Garfield and Annie Willis. Pearlie received her education in Fairfield, Texas. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She later moved to Dallas, Texas and joined New Independent Missionary Baptist Church, She was also in the choir and was on the Pastor's Aide Committee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garfield Sr. and Annie Willis, daughter May Dean Grant, son Author Willis, grandson Demond Grant, great grandson Dominique Grant, (5) brothers: Jessie Willis, George Willis, Garfield Willis Jr., Willie Willis and William Willis, (6) sisters: Geneva Holland, Veola Daniels, Annie Lee, Lorene Peters, Pearlie Williams and Dorothy Davis.

Pearlie leaves to cherish her precious memories (1) son SSG Bobby Levels; (4) daughters: Carolyn Ewing (Paul), Vanessa Willis, Arleasha Peters and Cynthia Wade; (9) grandchildren: Natasha Grant, Breanna Fisher (Odell), Michael Willis, Tiffany Shaw, Darion Ewing, Marquita Ewing, Anthony Levels, Cassandra Peters and Danessia Peters; (1) sister Nellie Martin; (2) brothers: Eddie Willis and Frankie Willis; (13) great          grandchildren; (9) great great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
