Paula Jean Johnson was born on July 3, 1955, to the parentage of Ephraim and Odessa Hall in Seagoville, TX. She graduated from Seagoville High School. She also went to pursue several skills including a CNA certification, a cosmetology license and a certification in Business Administration.

She valued education, but her greatest joy was becoming a mother to her first born Waynerd Devon Horton on July 4, 1975. Afterwards , she met the love of her life, Curtis Johnson and they married August 16, 1976, to this union Barron Eugene Johnson Horton was born on June 26, 1977.

Paula was a faithful member of Strong Arms Family Church, were she loved Sunday School and Bible Study. She was a proud member of the Sanctuary Choir and the kitchen staff.

Loved ones Paula reunite with in eternal life are her parents, Ephraim and Odessa, her husband Curtis, her son Waynerd, (2) sisters: Janice Renae Hall and Doris Ann Hall, and (4) brothers: Aubrey Joe Easley, Ephraim Hall Jr., Gary Hall and David Wayne Hall.

Paula leaves to cherish her memories with her beloved son Barron (Dollie), (3) grandchildren: Lajuana Horton, Kristina Horton and Curtis Horton; (3) sisters: Gloria Guice, Nina Delores Hall and Millicent Phillips; her godmother Joe Dabney; her best friend Jackie Smith; (2) god daughters: Shaundra "Fatty" Hughes and Merilyn Cole along with a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
