Reverend Patrick Smith, 85, transitioned from this human experience to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 3, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on  October 25, 1938, in Dallas, TX, Reverend Smith was the son of Charley and Virlee Smith who preceded him in death. He was educated in the Dallas school system.

He was an entrepreneur who was also perfectly equipped by God with an outgoing, charismatic, and creative personality that was clearly shown through his love for outreach ministry, radio ministry and expressed in his artistry. He was most notably known for jail and street ministry. He had a heart for his divine assignments from the Lord.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration, impacting lives of others by spurring them on to good works. Reverend Smith was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Grey Smith, sister Charlesetter Simpson, and his son, John Waechter.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Wilma Smith; son, Stan Waechter; daughter, Patricia "Trisa Kay" Coleman (William); sister, Alberta McNeely (Willis); brother-in-law, Tommy Joe; grandson, Andre "AJ" Hudson Jr; granddaughter, Faith Hudson; great granddaughter, Siani Mitchell, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
