Oras Ann Shanklin went home to Jesus on April 12, 2021 at the age 72. She was born to Louis and Margaret Shanklin on November 23, 1948 in Georgetown, TX.

Oras was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a granny. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends every where she went.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Ruth Dismue; brother, Roy E. Henry; and daughter Vickey M. Shanklin.

Oras leaves behind to cherish her memories (5) children: James E. Shanklin (Althea), Sylvia A. Shanklin, Archie Shanklin, Margaret M. Wicks (Paul), and La Darren Rhinehart (Corneisha); Father, Louis Tyrone Shanklin Sr.; brother, Louis Tyrone Shanklin Jr. (Janice); (22) grandchildren, (25) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
