Newland Jr. Peoples was born to Newland Peoples and Marie Peoples on February 19, 1953. He attended Lincoln High School and was a welder by trade.

He loved to dress with style and class, he also enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, playing dominoes and a variety of sports. He was not only very intelligent but could  define his knowledge. But he also had a soft heart and would display his emotions through tears and kind words.

Newland was preceded in death by his daughter Keanna, (2) sisters: Dorothy and Nina, (1) brother Charles "Pop" and  father Newland Sr.

He leaves behind to honor his life his mother Marie; wife Juanita; (2)brothers: George and John; (3) sisters: Maybelle, Francis and Charlotte; (3) grandchildren: Arique, Genesis and Syvannah and a host of other family and friends.
