Obituary

Mondra Lamon Hewitt (Bush) was born August 15, 1988. He was born a younger sibling, and among a host of maternal and paternal cousins.    Mondra was a loving son, father, brother, cousin, and friend. At his best, he was as charming as his both of his parents, caring, empathetic, and deeply feeling.

His parents committed Mondra to the Greater Emanuel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R.L. Kennedy early in his life. Later, he sought spiritual guidance at a variety of churches, but received life counseling, work, and spiritual advice through his programs with the      Salvation Army and Camp Hoblitzelle.

Mondra loved being with his son, DeMonte, visiting and being with family. He loved family gatherings and good vibes. He liked looking good and dressing well. He loved a good conversation, he liked to chill, and yet couldn't be still. He liked to be places, just don't ask him how he got there. In a large family both maternally and paternally, he was known for his great dimpled smile, and is fondly remembered for self-soothing with    rocking.

Mondra will join his mother, Jessie Mae Hewitt Bush, in heaven, where she's been waiting for him. He also joins his grandparents, Curlie Ree Bush, Oscar Bush, and Alvey Hewitt; and his aunts and uncles; Danny Ray Bush, Darian Wayne Bush, Olivia Renee Bush, Louis Darden, Alvey Hewitt, Jr., and Esther Diane Wilder.

He leaves to celebrate his memory, his son, who loved him so deeply, DeMonte Hewitt; his father, Oscar Curtis Bush; his brother and sister-in-law, Tederro and Lovie Hewitt, and nephew, Tederro Hewitt, Jr. He is also survived by his grandmother, Lizzie Hewitt-Jones, his aunts and uncles, Denise Bush, Thomas Bush (Wanda), Brenda Brown-Jones (Bruce), Mary Darden, Charline Hewitt, Ruby Rogene Hewitt, Repunzal Hewitt Shelby (Gene), Janice Hicks (Darrell), Elsie Lewis, and Ken Whittle. He also leaves a host of cousins, friends, and colleagues who will miss him, his smile, and his physical presence dearly.
