Metter Mae Paden was born on July 16, 1938 to the union of Coleman Sr. & Annie Mae Bracken in Douglasville, Texas. She was the eldest of 9 children.

She met and married Jerry Paden and to this union 2 children were born.

Metter is preceded in death by her parents, Coleman Sr. & Annie Mae Bracken and (4) brothers: James Bracken, Cliford Bracken, Sammy Bracken and Coleman Bracken Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories (2) children: Penny McGill and Lincoln Bracken; (5) grandchildren: Shaquan Morgan, Lincoln Morgan, Stephanie Morgan, Shaquan McGill and Desmond McGill, (4) sisters: Martha Ann Chandler, Maxcine Barrett, Pauline Franklin and Betty Mae Phillips along with a host of other relatives and friends.
