Melba Washington was born on January 1,1951 in Cotton Valley, LA to the parents of Emma Ellison and Durrell Ellison Sr. She graduated from Pinkston High School. She was the     sweetest and kindest person that you could have known. She had a heart of gold and loved        everyone. She would have given you her last if you needed it.

She met and married Thomas Washington, whom loved her beyond measure. He also precedes her in death along with her loving daughter LaTonia Johnson.

Melba leaves behind (2)daughters: Patrina Williams and Shelia Taylor; (8) grandchildren: Stewart Williams III, CeAirra Lewis, Zma'Ray Williams, Ze'Dairean Williams, Broderick Washington, Darion Washington, Daquan Washington and Adonis Washington; (3) nephews: Chris Mc Donald, Derrick McDonald and Issac Rivers along with a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
