Mark LaBruce Baker was born on February 18, 1970 to James E. Baker Sr. and Gloria Baker. He graduated from Sunset High School Class of 1989. He accepted Christ at an early age at New St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. M. L. Curry.

He was a loving and funny person. He loved being around his family. To know him was to love him. He was always the life of the party and made anybody around him laugh. He never met a stranger and would have you laughing within minutes of meeting him. He was surely the comedian of the family.

Mark leaves behind to cherish his memories his parents: Gloria J. Baker and James E. Baker Sr.; (2) brothers: James Muhammad (Tracey) and Dominique Baker; (4) sisters: LaTonya Baker-Tatum, LaKeisha Hill (Martin), Denecia Baker and Latasha Wolford along with a host of  0ther relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
