He is survived by his parents David and     Margarette Thornton; two children; Donovan Ewing-Thornton and Donetra Ewing-Thornton (Tina), two brothers; Cedric Bradley, David Thornton, Jr., seven sisters; Tammy Bradley, La Gayla Johnson (Frederic), Shayakia Thornton, Sharon Thornton (Wynn), Cynthia Lauderdale-Thornton (Michael), Terry Thornton-Oaks and Johnerta Thornton,      special cousin; Anita Hooks and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great    nieces, other relatives and special friends.
