A Time to be Born:  Winter was the season; on the 12th day of November 1938 a beautiful bay girl came into this world.  Her loving devoted parents Elder Glen Leon Hawley and Mabel Hawley named her Lois Jean Hawley who they shielded, sheltered, and showered with love and protection. Her father delivered her at birth as he did with each of his seven children with Mabel.

A Time to Love:  She joined in holy matrimony with Willie Floyd Phillips, Sr. and to this union two children were born, Willie Floyd Phillips Jr, and Michael Ray Phillips.

A Time to Laugh:  She enthusiastically celebrated friends and family accomplishments with great joy and laughter.  She served her community as an angel.  She always knew how to bring people together and to get the best out of everyone while still having fun, especially when playing cards or dominoes.

A Time to Lose:  On Thursday, March 23, 2023, when the hour came, she quietly slept away while in the bosom of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was proceeded in death by her parents Glen and Mable Hawley, her son, Willie Floyd Phillips, Jr., stepmother; 4 brothers, R.L. Hawley, Carroll Hawley, Raymond Majors, Leon Hawley Jr., and 2 sisters Betty Sanders and Doris Hawley.

Lois leaves to cherish her memory; her son Michael Ray Phillips (Renee); 5 grandchildren, Tanya Richard-Lewis (Jay), Terrence Richard, Cassius Richard, Michael Phillips (Tasha), Jr., and Jeremiah Phillips and at least 40+ great grandchild, 12 sisters; Carrie Furlough, Ollie Johnson, Doris White (Jackie), Mary Harrison, Bernice Hawley, Reann Fleming (Daryl), Easter Osawe, Sarah Aibuza (Frank), Tonya Kelley, Helen Hawley and Ruth Husted; 5 brothers, Jewel Hawley, Eli Hawley, Richard Hawley, and Joseph Hawley along with extreme a host of family and friends.
