LeRoy Sanchell was born on October 1, 1951 in Mart, TX to Roy Shelton Lawrence and Bertha Mae Sanchis. He graduated from Job Corp in San Marcus, TX. He joined the military in 1972 and was sent to Germany for two years.

In 1974 he became a Firefighter in Augusta, GA and later relocated back to Texas where he became a truck driver and drove for over 45 years. In 1980 he met Janice Brown Patterson-Sanchell and got married on September 8, 1981. Through the good and the bad nothing could stop him from loving his wife and children.

LeRoy later had health problems and had to retire from trucking and God knows he loved his trucking format and seeing the changes around the country.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Roy Shelton Lawrence and Bertha Mae Sanchis, sisters: Rosie Bea, Dollie, Laura, Alma Jean, Lorene and Lera, brothers: Raydell, Roy, Shelton, Clifton, AD Lawrence, Otha Whaley, daughter Alverta Sanchell, son Tyson Bernard Patterson

LeRoy leaves behind to mourn his wife Janice Sanchell; (6) children: Akinlawon Sanchell (Lateasa), Ashanti Sanchell, Nathan Sanchell, Tristian Patterson, Loris Ray Brown and Deon Brown; (28) grandchildren; (41) great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
