Leon Martin Jr. was born on November 6, 1948 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to the parentage of Lee Ella Hooker & Leon Martin Sr. He received his education in the Dallas Independent School District. He served in the US Army Reserve.

He was married to the late Patsy Martin. He was also a professional Truck Driver.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents Lee Ella Hooker & Leon Martin Sr., his wife Patsy Martin, one daughter, three brothers, one sister and one grandson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories (5) children: Tara Rhone, Tracy Anderson, Reginald Simmons, Richard Bushar and Dekeetho      Simmons; (1) brother Larry Hooker Sr.; (15) grandchildren; (33) great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
