Laverne Cole was born on October 28, 1957 to Vera Cole in Houston, Texas. She attended Marshall High School. She worked and was mainly a home-maker.

She married James Nickerson Jr. in 1980 and to this union  four children were born. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She loved going to church and was a member of The "Ark" G.G.H.T. She was also a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and also considered herself a domino queen to any one who would dare to challenge her.

Laverne is preceded in death by her mother Vera Cole, husband James Nickerson Jr. and brother Charles Cole.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories (4) children: Yancy Cole, Patrick Cole, Damon Cole and Tramaine Cole; (2) siblings: Diane Cole and Eric Hunt; (13) grandchildren along with a host of other family and dear friends who love her tremendously.
