Obituary

Larry Darnell Wilson was born on the blessed day of December 25, 1962, in Cleveland, MS to the parentage of Jesse and Elizabeth Wilson. A graduate of East Side High School, Larry's education was a cornerstone for the wisdom he shared with those around him. His devotion to the Lord was clear in his active membership and service at Saint Jones Baptist Church, where he practiced his faith with humility and grace.

Larry's journey through life was one of steadfast love, unwavering dedication, and a profound commitment to his family and faith. Larry honorably served his country in the U.S. Army before dedicating many years of service as an Executive Steward at Taylor International Company. His work ethic was exemplary, a reflection of his character and the respect he had for his colleagues and profession.

In his leisure, Larry found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether that was a game of pool, a friendly match of basketball, an engaging hand of spades, or a relaxing day of baseball. These moments were the threads that wove the fabric of the community he built around him.

As a devoted family man, Larry's legacy is lovingly carried on by his wife Rose and his children Larry, Antoine, William, Jabari, and Tashawna, and his adored grandchildren Taj'Onia, Tashawn, Kashai, Nevaeh, and Kylie.

Larry was also survived by his mother, Elizabeth Jones, and siblings: Veronica Parham, Twander Rias, Sharon Marshall, Tammy Wilson, Connie Gatheright, and J. Allen Gatheright, Kier Curb. He is also survived by his in-laws along with his extended family and friends, will forever hold onto the warm embrace of his presence.
