Larry Ennis was born on July 13, 1959 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and later moved to Dallas, Texas. As a young child he attended Boude Storey Middle School School, Oliver Wendell Holmes, and South Oak Cliff High School. He built lasting friendships and values that would define his life.

Larry met and married the love of his life Shirley Garrett and together they built a life and family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley, grandson Devirea Smith, siblings: Beverly Varnado, Catherine Alexander, Tyrone Ennis, Ronnie Ennis, C.W. Williams and Ivory Lee Ennis.

He leaves his children Lisa Ennis, Cornelius Ennis, Sherry Ennis, Angela Smith; grandchildren: Kwatavious, Travion, Timara, Faith, Alphaeus and Mykel; his sister Ann Marie Ennis along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
