Kathy
Carter
Sep 8, 1959 — Aug 20, 2024
Kathy Carter was born on September 8, 1959 in Knox City, TX to John and Lula Mae Williams. After spending her formative years in Munday, TX, she later relocated to Wichita Falls where she graduated from S. H. Rider High School in 1978. After years as a single mom of raising two boys, she later met the love of her life, archie L. Carter. They wed in August of 1984.
She was a homemaker and in the Home Healthcare fields for over 30 years. After the passing of her husband a few years earlier, Kathy joined her sons in Dallas, TX in 2003. Here she found a church home at God's Holy Church of Christ, where she would work with the church's Mission Sisters, tend to the church grounds making sure fresh flowers were routinely planted, and later seek ordination as a minister.
Kathy led a life filled with an abundance of love for everyone she encountered. She was preceded in death by her husband Archie Carter, father John Williams, mother Lula Mae, sisters: Erma and Lillie and brothers: Johnny and Donald.
Loved ones she leaves behind to cherish her memories (2) sons: Reginald Williams of Dallas, TX and Antwan Williams of Garland, TX; (1) sister Debra Barner; (1) brother Tommy Williams both of Lubbock, TX; (9) grandchildren: Travonte, Shanquille, Marion, Reginald Jr., Ke'Ambria, D'Qorea, Antwan Jr., Dremaurine and Casiaha along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
