Obituary

On April 22, 1997, a beautiful angel was born to Ebonie Gardenhire and Valenta Thompson, and they named her Jyesha Lapassion Patrice Gardenhire. Born in Bastrop, Louisiana, Jyesha lived there for two years before moving to Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she began her schooling and stayed for a couple more years. Her family then settled in Dallas, Texas, where she spent the rest of her life. Jyesha was an independent woman—her own boss. She loved her children deeply and would do anything for them. Truly a giver, she was a young lady full of vision, great goals, and a heart of gold. Jyesha cherished her family and friends and always wanted harmony among them. She enjoyed social media, loved dressing to impress, and never hesitated to speak her mind. Bold, tough, strong, and ambitious, she was never afraid of anything. She was protective and acted as a watchman for those she cared about. If she liked you, she stood up for you. Above all, she loved showing affection to her mom, sisters, family, and friends.

Jye was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Louise Gardenhire, Frank Gardenhire, Lillie M. Jackson.

She leaves behind parents, Ebonie Gardenhire (Jermaine), Valenta Thompson; four beautiful kids: Cardell C Aubrey, Erion C Walker, Bryce D Johnson, and Ra'mya L Pearson;  grandparents: Everette Gardenhire (Sherry), Patricia Williams McHenry, Darlene Hughes; sisters: Shantazia Gardenhire (Keyonta), Gequria Gardenhire (Tirelle), A'kensi Carter, Jer'maiya Francis; brothers: Kameron Beaty and Clayton Spencer; aunts: Evelyn Gardenhire, Latricia Edwards (Kendal),    Alicia, Lekeisha, Kianna, uncles: Kinon Chatman and Jamaal Gardenhire along with a host of great aunts, great uncle, bonus aunts, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members, and friends.
