John Calvin Anderson Sr. was born on July 16, 1951 to the parentage of Leola Jackson and J.D. Anderson in Greenville, Texas. He was a devoted pastor who dedicated his life to the Lord at an early age.

Throughout his life, John was a man of great faith and a beloved figure in his community. His commitment and his love for God were the cornerstones of his existence. He was also passionate about the Dallas Cowboys.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Leola Jackson and J.D. Anderson, one brother Louis Anderson, son Atari Anderson, and two grandchildren: Justin Casselberry and Angel Shaw.

John leaves behind to cherish his memories wife Octavia Anderson; (12) children: Kenneth Gibbs, Tammie Kelly, Charee Anderson-Casselberry, Paula Kay Hall, Arobier (Mindy) Anderson, Mataya Anderson-Paul, John C. Anderson Jr., Juaniqua Anderson, John P. Anderson, Londyn Anderson and Legacy Anderson; (7) step children: Bianca, Gabriel, Braylon, Leander, Xavier, Kennedy and Wynter; (3) brother: Alvin Jackson, Eric Jackson and Leonard Jackson; (32) grandchildren; (35) great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
