Jeren Dion Richards was born on January 15, 1981 in the hearts of Dallas, Texas. His life's journey was one of courage, love, and resilience touching everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

His life was a tapestry of dedication and service. At the early age of 17 year old, he joined the United States Army, where he exemplified bravery and commitment. Regardless of where life took him, he always held tight to his faith. Whether it was serving with his Muslim Brotherhood or striving closer to his Christian faith. On February 5, 2025 Jeren was baptized and ordained under the Aaronic Priesthood under the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Jeren was preceded in death by his parents Ricky Thomas and Cynthia Richards-Morris.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his only daughter Jahzara Epps along with a host of other family and friends.
