James A. Davis was born to late Frank and Lena Davis on April 5, 1951, in Hawkins, Tx. He graduated from Hawkins High School.

He moved to Dallas after graduation. Later in life he met and married his wife and life partner, Sandra Dickson. He attended Church on the Move TIG, under Pastor Thomas Dickson, where he gave his life to Christ.

James Davis was preceded in death by four siblings. Freddie Curling, Richard Davis, Calvin Davis, and Lucinda Browning. Also, one son James Lee Kelly.

He leaves to cherish his Memory: his wife of 25 years, Sandra Davis, one brother George Simpson (Jan), three sisters; Frankie Gant, Doris Ross, and Annie Davis. Three daughters Hazel Ross (Glenn), Tonya Kelly (Gerald), and Renee Jackson (Courtney). Four sons Steve Kelley, Thomas Dickson, Roy Mathews (Rachel), and Ricky Mathews (Michelle). A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.
