James Alfred Beasley was born January 27, 1946 to the parents of Annie and Henry Clay Beasley Sr. in Marshall, Texas.

He was known for his giving heart especially to charities such as St. Jude Hospital.

James was preceded in death by his parents Annie and Henry Clay Beasley Sr., (1) sister Frances Alice Spencer; (2) brothers: Arthur Ray Beasley and Henry Clay Beasley Jr.; (2) nephews: Anthony Oneal Beasley and Thomas Gerald Spencer.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his sisters: Annie Louise Harris (Odell)  and Sherie Washington; special niece Terri Williams with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
