Isiah Edward Grant was born in Dallas, TX on January 24, 1967, to the parents of James Earl Grant and Maxine Marie McFarland Grant. He received his education from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, TX.   After decades together, Isiah married the love of his life, Kathleen Sowels Grant on September 6, 2022.

Isiah was a dedicated member of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as an usher. Isiah was a very skilled handyman, who           specialized in his true passions, in painting and landscaping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Grant and Maxine MacFarland Grant, brothers Coy Phil, James "Earl" Grant, sisters,    Sharon McCullough, Pamela Grant, and Azel "Lil' Bit" Grant.

He leaves to cherish his beloved wife, Kathleen Sowels Grant, and beloved daughter Britney Craig, stepdaughters, Keisha Sowels and Shanina Sowels-Pryor (Elzie Pryor), and stepson, Quentin Sowels. He leaves to cherish siblings, David McFarland, Kenneth Davis, Sheila Grant (Cedric Oliver), Wanda Fields, grandchildren, Mi'amor Moon, Nasir Moon, Ashton Sutton II, Kingston Edmunds, Ava Sowels, and Savannah Pryor, a very special best friend, Donald Logan, and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
