Henry Porter was born on February 22, 1950 to the late  Preston & Odessa Porter in Paris, Texas. He graduated from West Lamar High School in 1968. Henry grew up in the small town of Brookston, Tx.

Whether it be fishing, gardening, or watching his favorite sports team "DOG" was the hype man in the room! On July 27, 2021 he married Carolyn Council and to this union 4 children were born.

HE is preceded in death by his parents Preston & Odessa Porter, sisters: Betty Harmon and Dessi Rainwater.

Henry leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Carolyn Porter; (3) sons: Jeremy (Shavoya) Council, Joseph Miller and Cornelius Hilburn; (1) daughter Jasmine Wilson; (4) adoring grandchildren: JorDyn Council, Jermicah McGill, Gabriel Hilburn and Jerriona Douglas; (2) sisters: Ruby      Morgan and Ethel Porter; (4) brothers: Tommy Porter, Preston Porter Jr, Charles Porter and Patrick Porter along with a host of other relatives and friends.
