Harvey W. Polk was born on April 22, 1949 to Annie Menefee and Leroy Polk. He attended      Dunbar High School in Lufkin, TX. He also attended Texas Institutional College in Waco, TX. After that he served in the Army and Navy for 18 years coming out as a First Sargent.

He believed in living his life to the fullest. He loved to fish and cook, but you can't forget the eating. He was an outstanding man and loved his family. Spending time with his wife Renee and he loved his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, (3) brothers: Evis, Woody and Pooky Polk.

Harvey leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife Billie Renee Smith, his sons: Marcus Polk and Demetra Polk; stepson Tavoris Stanfield; stepdaughter Imyia Stanfield; (7) grandchildren: Reginald Ethridge, Destiney Ethridge, Julian Tucker, Autumn Merrill, Shamiya Stanfield, Kayden Standfield, Tavoris Stanfield Jr., (2) great grandchildren: Jazmine Ethridge and Noah Ethridge; Pam and Bobby Menefee along with a host of other relatives and friends.
