Griffin Davis was born in Terrell, TX on August 22, 1951 to the parentage of George Ann Davis and Leroy Davis Sr., who preceded him in death.

During his childhood, Griffin was raised in a Christian home. In his early adult life, he became involved in Muslim religion.  Before his passing, he returned back to his Christian Faith accepting Christ as His Lord and Savior.
