George Bernard Calloway was born in Abilene, TX to Earnestine Calloway and George Berry. He attended Abilene High School then obtained his G.E.D. and enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 17 years old where he served for 7 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Vickie Stephens Calloway, his grandmother Everlee Calloway, mother Earnestine Calloway, father George Berry, and sister Glenda Marie Jones.

George leaves behind 4 sisters, Drucilla Christian of Abilene, TX, Paula Boyce from Garland, TX, Linda Winters of   Farmers Branch, TX, and Anita Elaine Eddie of New Braunfels, TX., step-daughter Shayla Stephens, step-grandson Joshua Stephens. He left 6 nieces, 6 nephews, and a host of grand nieces, nephews, and relatives.
