Frederick
Love
Dec 22, 1969 — Nov 4, 2025
Frederick Love was born on December 22, 1969, in Waukegan, Illinois, to the late Bessie Hurst and Fred Love. At the tender age of seven, he moved to Moss Point, Mississippi, where he found his spiritual foundation and accepted Christ at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. His faith remained a guiding light throughout his life.
A graduate of Moss Point High School, Class of 1988, Frederick pursued higher education with determination and heart, earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University. His time at MSU shaped not only his career but also his lifelong passion for sports and spirited conversations especially about his beloved Bulldogs and the New Orleans Saints.
On August 8, 1992, Frederick married the love of his life, Felicia Butler Love. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, devotion, and purpose. Their union was blessed with four radiant daughters: Ashley, Alexus, Aleisha, and Alexzandria. Later, Frederick embraced the joyful role of Papa to Josiah, Landon, and the late Karrington, who brought him endless pride and delight. In 1999, Frederick and Felicia made Dallas, Texas their home, where he thrived professionally as a mortgage implementation manager. Even as he faced health challenges, Frederick remained steadfast, never losing his spark or his love for connecting with others. Frederick lived a life rich in meaning and accomplishment.
He was a proud member of the Sigma Fraternity, found joy in traveling, a devoted family man, and a loyal friend. He truly embodied the essence of his last name—Love—through every relationship he nurtured and every life he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, cherished by his brother Nathaniel Love (Zsaquez), his sister Brook, nephew Jonathon , niece Jasline, nephew Issac, and a host of extended family and dear friends. Frederick's journey was one of faith, family, and fulfillment. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him, reminding us to live boldly, love deeply, and cherish every moment.
