Ella M.
Walton
Apr 29, 1934 — Oct 20, 2025
Ella Mae Walton was born on April 29, 1934 in Hawkins, Texas, to the parents of Ulysess and Toy Holland. She grew up in Hawkins, where she also attended school and began forming the values that would shape her life-faith, kindness, and a deep love for family.
Ella was a woman whose heart was as generous as her smile was bright. She had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome, especially around her kitchen table. Cooking was one of her greatest joys, and she delighted in preparing delicious meals and inviting family and friends to gather, laugh, and share in her love through her food.
Family was at the center of everything Ella did. She was the mother of five children, whom she loved very much. Her gentle spirit, caring nature, and steady faith were constant sources of strength and comfort to all who knew her.
Ella loved the Lord and lived her life as a true example of His compassion and grace. Her faith guided her through life's ups and downs, and her kindness touched everyone she met.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her giving heart, and the warmth she shared so freely.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love and light will remain forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents Ulysess and Toy Holland, two sons: Larry Walton and Morris Walton, three brothers: Billy Holland, Ulysses Holland Jr. and Waverly Holland, two sisters: Bobbie Hawley and Ather Parker and a granddaughter Raquel Lancaster.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories three children: Rose Jones (Roy), Teresa Payne and Jerry Walton; two brothers: Pastor Alvi Holland and Min. James R. Holland; two sisters: Eula Mae Green and Minnie Fay Andrews; grandchildren: D'Ashley Brooks (Mike), Brandon Payne, Dea'Quita Fears, Larry Harmon and LaQuesha Davis and a host of great grandchildren, family and friends.
