Obituary

Donald "Mac" Dillard, 61, of Paris, Texas, was born on November 15, 1963, to Robert and Billie "Cookie" Dillard. A proud graduate of Paris High School, Class of 1983, Mac was a man whose presence could light up any room. He brought joy, laughter, and rhythm wherever he went. His smile was unforgettable, his laughter contagious, and his spirit—unstoppable.

Whether it was a family gathering or a simple backyard barbecue, you could always count on Mac to be the first on the dance floor and the last to leave. He was, without a doubt, the life of the party.

Mac dedicated over 15 years to Rodger's and Wade and most recently served as a valued floor technician at Crockett Middle School, where he took great pride in his work. Beyond his career, he found deep fulfillment in serving others. Since becoming a member of Greater New Faith Baptist Church in 1999, Mac faithfully maintained the church grounds, ensuring it reflected the same care and love he gave to those around him.

Though Mac was a friend to many, only one person truly captured his heart, his sweetheart, Vickie Douglas. They were united in marriage on October 10, 1988. 36 years, together, they built a life filled with love, family, and laughter. Mac was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, and a man who found joy in grilling, landscaping, and spending time with those he loved most.

Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Billie Dillard, his sister Nona Dillard, and his brother Gary Dillard.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Vickie Lynn Dillard; (4) children: Nichole (Lee) Green, Broderick Henderson, Brittney Dillard, Christian McCarty; (5) siblings: Joe Henry Dillard, Brenda Sims, Vickie Patterson, Lisa (Craig) Shaw, and Deborah Dillard along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Mac's legacy is one of love, laughter, and light. He danced through life with joy, and now, we celebrate the beautiful rhythm he left behind.
