D'Marcus Montrell  Edwards was born April 7, 1982 to Lisha James and Joe H. Hawkins, Jr. He attended Dallas Independent School District and finished his formal education in Waco Independent School District receiving his diploma in 2000.

He had a love for music and dancing and would iron a pair of jeans until they could stand up by themselves and he was happy about his new job at Miller Brewing Company.

His soul was greeted at the pearly gates of Heaven by God, his  maternal grandparents Ambry and Evelyn Edwards, his paternal grandparents Joe Sr. and Bessie Hawkins; (3) uncles Larry, Michael and Maxie; (5) aunts: Doris, Eva, Joella, Alice and Ina.

Those waiting to see him again and cherishing all their memories are his parents Lisha (Shirley) James and Joe Hawkins Jr., (3)  ShonQuala, Latrice and Katrina; brother Joe H. Hawkins II; cousin LaChares Alexander; (2) aunts: Barbara Kirven and Cynthia Shelton; (4) uncles: John, Kenneth, Cornelius and Leonard and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
