Diane Menifee's journey began on October 26, 1953 in Dallas, Texas, where she was welcomed into this world by her parents Robert Charles Ray and Lizzie Mae Davis. She spent her formative years in the city and proudly attended Lincoln High School, where she built lasting friendships and cherished memories. Though life presented its share of challenges, Diane's resilience and devotion to her family shone brightly. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her only child, Yolanda Smith, who was the center of her world.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lizzie Mae Davis and Robert Charles Ray, step-mother Lois Ray, her sister Verdie Lee Acy, sister-in-law Wanda Davis and  former husband James Smith.

While their absence left a void, Diane's spirit remained strong, carrying their memories in her heart. Diane leaves behind a legacy of love and family.

Diane is survived by her loving daughter Yolanda Smith; (3) cherished grandchildren: Jose Carrillo, Joshua Smith and Y'Neiman Quarles; (3) great grandchildren: Myrionah Hall, Isiah Smith and Pharoah Smith, (3) devoted sisters: Marilyn, Carlene and Brenda; (3) caring brothers: Robert, Harvey (Connie) Davis and Jerimiah Ray; dear friends Alma and LaSondra (who are more like family than friends), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nephews, other family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
