Dewanna Ann Poku was born January 24, 1968 in Houston, Texas to the mother of Ann Jackson.

She was known as a happy but a private person. She was known as the bag lady. You just had to know her to love her. She was employed at Thomas C. Cooch Elementary School as a custodian for 16 years. The teachers and students admired and loved her dearly.

Dewanna leaves to cherish her memories to her loving and devoted sons: Corey Caldwell and Jonathan Poku; two step children: Shaniqua Williams and Clint Williams; two sisters; one brother along with many of relatives and friends whom will miss her dearly.
