On Friday, May 2, 2025, God's angels took Delbert Lee Bass by the hand and escorted him to his heavenly home in the arms of our heavenly father and resting in peace. He was 87 years old. Delbert Lee Bass was born on the 27th of September in 1937 in the small southern town of Trawick, Texas to parents Elishie and Annie Lee "Percy" (Esco) Bass. He and his brothers and sisters grew up surrounded by the love and care of an abundance of family. He attended C L Simon High School in Cushing, Texas. Delbert retired from Southwest Tablets after many years of employment.

Delbert met and was united in holy matrimony to Shirley "Pat" Terrell and shared 41 years together. Together, they enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Delbert is survived by his four children; Eric Bass (Carmacita), Delbert Duane Bass (Cynthia), Leslie Bass Lamott, Sharon Bass; stepchildren; Stephanie and Darrell Terrell and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. His two brothers; L.V. Bass (Dianna), and F.L. Bass (Earlene), his sister Mina Sims (Bobby Sr), his sister-in-law, Helen Bass; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, caring and supportive family friends who will miss him dearly.

Delbert was preceded in death by his wife Shirley "Pat" Terrell-Bass; his parents Elishie and Annie Lee "Percy" Bass; his brother, Charles Bass; his sisters, Shirley Hardaway, Ruthie Wilks, and Margaret Okra; and his brothers-in-laws, Reuben Hardaway and Allen Junior Wilks.
