Obituary

Christopher Raishaun Scott's untimely passing on March 8, 2025, has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who loved him. At just 16 years old, Christopher's life was tragically taken in an act of violence, a loss that has stunned and devastated his family and friends.

Born on November 4, 2008, in Dallas, Texas, to Carl Johnson Sr. and LaCrystal Scott, Christopher was a bright young soul with an infectious energy that lit up any room he entered. Raised by his beloved mother, LaCrystal, Christopher accepted Christ at the age of 12 and was baptized on April 12, 2020. He received his formal education from both Dallas and Cedar Hill Independent School Districts, where he was known for his intelligence, strong work ethic, and his ever-present willingness to lend a hand. He had an unmatched ability to connect with people, offering kindness, laughter, and a sense of warmth wherever he went.

Affectionately called "Pun" by family and "Laachris" by others, he truly lived up to the love and joy these nicknames represented. His infectious smile, sparkling dimples (a gift from his mama), and charming sense of humor were simply unforgettable. Christopher was the kind of person who made everyone around him feel special and appreciated.

Beyond his personal warmth, Christopher had a wide array of interests and talents. He was a gifted cook, with a passion for food that extended beyond just eating—it was his way of showing love. He enjoyed playing the xylophone with the band and playing football with Bessie Coleman Middle School. Christopher loved music, bowling, and skating, finding joy in sharing these activities with the people closest to him. His spirit was always one of connection, of seeking moments that would build memories and bring people together.

At Texas Best BBQ, where he worked, Christopher was not just an employee but a vital part of the family there. His work ethic mirrored the dedication he showed in every aspect of his life. He was loved by everyone and made an impact in all he did. He was more than a son, a friend, a cousin, a nephew, or a co-worker, he was a light in the lives of everyone he knew.

Though Christopher's life was cut short, the impact he had on those who were lucky enough to cross his path will live on forever. His legacy is one of love, joy, laughter, and unselfish care for others. His memory will continue to bring smiles to the faces of those who remember him, and the love he gave will never fade.

Christopher Raishaun Scott will be truly missed, but he will always be remembered with a smile, his beautiful dimples, and the warmth of his spirit that will live in the hearts of those who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, LaCrystal Scott (Antonio); father, Carl Johnson, Sr. (Jonetta); brothers, Christian Scott and Carl Johnson, Jr.; grandparents; great-grandparents; uncles; aunts; great-aunts; great-uncle; cousins; and a host of other family members and friends.
