Charlie Lee Johnson Jr. was born on January 23, 1958 to the parentage of Charlie Johnson Sr. and Lovie Johnson in Tyler, Texas. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the Veteran Hospital. He received his education in Tyler, Texas and then joined the United States Army. He later met and married Shelia McClain and to this union a baby girl was born.

He is preceded in death by both parents Charlie L. Johnson Sr. and Lovie Johnson and one son Delton Demon Ford.

Charlie is survived by his wife Shelia Johnson-McClain; daughter    Monish Caldwell (Samuel); siblings: Tommy Barrett and Charles Johnson (Rina) both of Tyler, Texas, Lolita Brandon (Frank) of Lancaster, Texas, Teresa Johnson and Vicki      Johnson; grandchildren: Moniah Polk, Jarrett Polk and Jarrison Polk, Lasabien Ford; (5) great grandchildren; (3) aunts: Jewel Richardson, Rosie Barnes and Olivia Clark; (3) uncles: Floyd Johnson, Willie Johnson and Timmothy Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
