Obituary

A beautiful 9 lb. 4 oz. baby girl came into the world on August 31, 1985, at Southeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Her mother named her Charity, inspired by the 13th chapter of I Corinthians. She was introduced to Christ at an early age.

After the passing of her grandfather, Pastor C. L. Burrell Sr., she relocated to Dallas, Texas, in 1997 with her family. She received her early education through the DeSoto Independent School District. She received her early spiritual nurturing at True Vine Church of God in Christ and Friendly Wayside COGIC. She later continued her education at Concorde Career College, where she graduated as a Polysomnographic Technician. She also   received her credentials as a Certified Nurse Assistant and a Medication Specialist.

Charity met and married Gary Black, who thanks God for the years they shared together. He forever cherish her memory. She also leaves to cherish her memory three children: Arquilla Burrell, Kobe Black, and Skhylar Black; her mother, Shelvet Waldon (Marcus Waldon); mother-in-law, Delois Black; her sister, Unique Johnson; her Uncle Clarence; Uncle Mark; Aunt Tracia; grandmother; Tanzie Burrell and a host of other family and friends.
